IPL is trash entertainment.
How do you know he wont take it seriously? The media is full of opinion that he is unpopular because of celebrity culture. I have always found it ridiculous that they think it is objectionable for people like Johnson to be metro and have a nice guy image. At the same time, the image they value is the arrogant, bad sportmanship, bad loser culture that the team has had as far back as we can remember.
Do you think he has bad sportmanship? I have not really seen that, but in case he does, is he not just continuing in the fine tradion of the past two captains? If he carries himself in the field like he has a stick shoved way up his ass, is that any different to what fans are used to seeing since the days of Ian Chappell?

i would agree. I get a feeling, he is a bit of a show-pony. The way he described the lovable Doughie's antics and what he felt about them on a CT TV interview on youtube, you could sense unwarranted arrogance. Gimme a break pup.
